Philip D. Shields, age 60, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in his home.
Philip was born on September 7, 1963, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Carl D. Shields, and Joan (Zook) Shields. His mother survives. He was an Engineer in the Army National Guard in Marion and worked at Hartson- Kennedy, Inc. in Marion. Philip was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go canoeing, camping, and hunting rabbit and deer.
He is also survived by his son, Philip (Melanie) Shields of Marion; a daughter, Nicci (Lance) Potter; a brother, Michael (Stephanie) Shields; a sister, Melody (Jim) Horine; an uncle, Philip Zook of Tennessee; and his late dog, Whiskey.
Arrangements are entrusted Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Matthews Lions Club, 1018 Massachusetts Avenue, Matthews, Indiana 46957.
