PERU,Indiana – The City of Peru Common Council met Monday evening to discuss land out on Harrison Avenue to which an individual wanted to put a storage building in the area. Several people in the area came to the Council meeting and expressed there opinions about the situation. After a lengthy discussion the council went along with the residents that live in the area. Council President Kurt Krauskopf.
Peru Mayor Gabe Greer and the Peru Police Department recognized and paid tribute to Miles Hewitt for 35 years on the Department. Peru Police Department gave a plaque to Officer Hewitt on a great job he has done for the city.
