Peru Board of Works to Sell Property

Peru,IN  Board of Public Works and Safety of the city of Peru met in regular session at City Hall, recently. The board accepted the resolution to sell excess property titled to the city of Peru, the property is known as 286 Carbon Street. Property was appraised for $672.00 and $900.00, a mean amount was set at $786.00 The clerk treasurer will advertise the property for sale and receive bids on the property in her office. The resolution includes a provision authorizing the Mayor to sign and convey the property by deed if the property is sold at a time not close to a Board of Works meeting.

The Board approved a street closure on Cass Street between West 5th and West 6th and the alley between those two streets for the St. Charles Bazaar on Saturday, September 10th, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. West 2nd Street in front of the Ours Father’s Library will be closed from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on July 16th, as the Bat Mobile will be shown off that particular day.
