Pearl J. Thomas

Pearl J. Thomas, 99, Huntington, went to be with the Lord at 12:50 am on Friday, December 8, 2023, in her home. She was born in Delaplaine, Arkansas, on Tuesday, December 2, 1924, to Carl and Rachel (Clifton) Brand. On August 27, 1945, she married James F. Thomas, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2000.

Most important in Pearl’s life was the Lord, giving her life to Him at an early age. She was a very strong Christian woman who loved to share the Lord and bring others to Christ. She read her Bible faithfully. Family was just about as important. She showed unconditional love to her family at all times. Pearl loved to fish and had a love for Dominoes. She also loved to crochet. Pearl worked at Owens-Illinois until her retirement. She also loved taking care of the grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Thomas of OK, Russell (Maui) Thomas of FL, and Ralph Thomas of GA; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and close/special friend, Francis “Honey” Workman of Gas City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Rozonna Thomas, Toni Sarcevicz, Rhonda Dash, and Esther “Maria” Ruhinen; three brothers; and three sisters.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A funeral service to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at North Chapel, preceded by additional visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Mike Pieart will be officiating with burial following at Estates of Serenity.
