Paul Ward, 49, of Knox, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, died at 5:43 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 in Wabash. He was born October 22, 1968 in Wabash, to Frank and Elsie (Fisher) Ward.
Paul married Karen Lynn Schmidt in Plymouth, Indiana on April 29, 1989; she died October 31, 2009. He worked at the Plymouth Foundry, and several other foundries during his working career. He was a member of the Moonshine Cowboys riding club. Paul enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing football.
He is survived by his fiance, Laura Dalton of Knox; seven children, Paul Schmidt of Elkhart, Indiana, Jordon Schmidt, Ashlee (Timothy) Reed, and Jared Ward, all of Wabash, Alexis Ward, Derek Dalton, and Audrey Dalton, all of Knox; seven grandchildren, brothers and sister, Junior Hayslip of Columbus, Ohio, Frank Hayslip of Wabash, Robert Ward of Plymouth, and Rosemary Ward of Wabash. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Ken Goble officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 11:30-1:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
