Patricia “Patti” L. Cohlhepp, 71, Marion, passed away at 10:38 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021, in Columbus, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Marion on Saturday, November 4, 1950, to Elmer L. and Vesta L. (Yarman) Fosnough. On February 2, 1974, she married Fred Cohlhepp, and he survives.
Patti graduated from Marion High School in 1969 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree at Anderson University in 1973. She had worked for Sears in Marion for 18 years and then at Marion Community Schools for 18 years until her retirement.
Patti was an avid reader. She liked to travel with her husband, mainly to Montana, Michigan, and Tennessee. More than anything, Patti cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband, Fred, survivors include her two sons, Ryan (Meredith) Cohlhepp of Westborough, MA, and Kyle (Cecy) Cohlhepp of Chicago, IL; daughter, Megan (Jared) Brock of Columbus, IN; five grandsons, Tyler, Andrew, Daniel, David, and Abraham; three granddaughters, Samantha, Madelyn, and Emma; brother, Tim (Jill) Fosnough; three sisters, Marcia (Denis) Hully, Darla Fosnough, and Brenda (Joe) Yoder; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vickie Hobbs.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A funeral service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at First Church of God, 450 W. 50th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Bill Fulda will be officiating.
The family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.
