Patricia Anne Miller

Patricia A. Miller, 88, of Wabash, died at 8:00 am, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born July 19, 1934, in Fairmount, Indiana, to Dorwin and Opal (Swarts) Dragstrem.

Patricia was known as Pat to her friends. Pat was a 1951 graduate of Somerset High School. She married Harold L. Miller at Somerset United Methodist Church in on August 29, 1952; he died November 11, 2003. She had a sweet demeanor, was helpful to her neighbors, was likable, and had the kindest eyes. Pat was the receptionist for Dr. Ron Frischman for 5 years office and kept records for the Mississinewa Cemetery. A farmer’s wife Patricia made the farm house a home. She was an accomplished seamstress, and an avid bookworm. Pat was known for her feasts for the farm employees when it was time to bail and put up hay at harvest. Most importantly, Patricia loved God and had a deep faith. Her Bible was ever present with her right next to her “pocketbook.” She prayed as if she was speaking to her best friend (and she certainly was doing so). Pat helped record and pass on prayer requests when it was a telephone prayer chain at church. On Sunday, Pat attended Sunday school class and then first service at Wabash Friends Church where many dear friends attended alongside her.

Many folks knew and loved Pat. We knew her as Mom, Grammy, or GG. May the Lord bless you and keep you, Patricia. May the Lord lift His face to shine upon you, Mom. And give you peace, Grammy. The Lord make his face to shine upon you, GG. And be gracious unto you, Gram. Amen.

She is survived by three children, Kenneth W. (Ann) Miller of Wabash, Mary C. (Steven) Zellers of Lagro, and Mark T.
