Patricia A. “Patty” (Boggs) King, 61, of rural Denver, Indiana, died at 7:00 am, Monday, August 7, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 20, 1962, in Wabash, Indiana, to Bill and Martha Ellen (Smith) Boggs.
Patty attended Wabash High School. She first married Mark Holderman Sr. in Lagro, Indiana on May 23, 1998; he died June 20, 2008. She then married Donald W. King in rural Denver on February 14, 2017. Patty worked at Hoosier Point, the Rock City Cafe, and retired as the Kitchen Manager at Metro North Elementary School in Wabash. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her infectious laugh. She was especially proud of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Donald King of Denver; five children, Shane (Bre) Floyd of Wabash, Jeremey Gaines of Denver, Mike Gaines of Logansport, Indiana, Nicholas King of Bourbon, Indiana, and Desari King of Wabash; five grandchildren, Chancton (Madison) Floyd of Bunker Hill, Indiana, Jade Bell of Converse, Indiana, Aleigha Woodward of Wabash, Alison Gault of Lafayette, Indiana, and James Gault of Wabash; four great grandchildren; step mother, Linda Boggs of Lagro; three sisters, Therese Mangrum of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sharon (Dennis) Bone of Roann, Indiana, and Jennifer Beeks of Wabash; and her brother, Greg (Nikki) Beeks of Lagro. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ron Beeks and Tom Beeks, and her brother-in-law, Larry Mangrum.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 14, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Luke Robberts officiating. Burial will be in Paw Paw Cemetery, rural Miami County, Indiana. Friends may call 2-6 pm Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the funeral home.
