Nora Marlene Quinn

Nora Marlene Quinn, 80, Gas City, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Gas City. She was born in Grant County, Indiana on May 9, 1941 to Edward and Mary (Detamore) Stephenson.

Marlene retired from Olynger Management in 2006 at 66 years old. She was the manager of Fairview and Riverview Apartments where she loved playing games and throwing parties with the tenants. She worked alongside her sister, Lenora.

Marlene loved her children fondly. They always came first. Thanksgiving was her favorite time to spend with her family. Marlene loved sewing, crocheting, riding her 3-wheel bikes, sitting outside, garage sales, and long walks. Marlene was an outgoing, social person; she never met a stranger.

In her earlier years she loved traveling with her sister, Ruby. She was very close with all her siblings. She had a great zest for life, defeating cancer twice only to be taken by it the third time. The first time she had stage 4 breast cancer, second time stage 4 ovarian cancer, and third time metastatic lung cancer.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa (Dave) Ferrell of Gas City and Sandi Duggan of Upland; sons, Vernon (Robin) Quinn of Gas City and Michael J. (Caroline) Quinn of Gas City; daughter-in-law, Robin Gray; brother, Larry (Juanita) Stephenson of Fowlerton; sister, Lenora Sapp of Marion; 13 grandchildren, Chad, James, Micaela, Caitlyn, Shannon, Stacie, Thomas, Henry, Michael, Tiffany, Cody, Jessica, and Erica; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Quinn; grandson, Brandon Lee Quinn; as well as several brothers and sisters.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
