Noble Lawson Patton Sr.

Noble Lawson Patton Sr., 88, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:19 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his home.  He was born on January 2, 1936, in English, Kentucky, to John Morgan and Mary A. (McQueen) Patton.

Noble was a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He married Martha Ellen Baker in Wabash on May 25, 1957; she died November 22, 2000. He owned and operated Patton Tree Service, retiring after 43 years. Noble was a member of the Wabash American Legion Post 15. He was an avid sports enthusiast, a sponsor for A.A., and loved helping people.  

He is survived by four children, Dollie Treska of Lagro, Indiana, Julie (Kenny) Adkins, Juanita (Mark Schuler) Patton, and Noble Patton, Jr., all of Wabash; eight grandchildren, Amanda Treska of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Gary (Kim) Treska of Lagro, Matthew (April Whitaker) Martin, Troy Martin, Travis (Liz) Patton, Trent Osborne, Whitney Adkins, and Ryan Adkins, all of Wabash; ten great grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Patton of Rome City, Indiana, and Ronald (Arlene) Patton of Saint Charles, Illinois  He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Nathan Whybrew officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.  Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Monday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
