Ned E. Schaaf, 81, of Huntington, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:50 pm, Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on February 5, 1940, in Wabash, Indiana, to Marvin and Alice Louise (Showalter) Schaaf.
Ned was a US Marine Corp veteran. He worked at Fisher Body in Marion, Indiana, retiring after 31 years. Ned was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles Lodge, all of Huntington. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by three daughters, Michele (Todd) Hollingshead of Wabash, Lori (Bret) Wade of Huntington, and Kristi (Joe) Barker of Fort Wayne, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and his sister, Betty Anne Pettit of Ellington, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Schaaf, and the mother of his three daughters and love of his life, Willa Dean Schaaf.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Heather Olsen Bunnell officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Monday, at the funeral home.
