Myna Rose Cravens

Myna Rose Cravens, 82, Zionsville, passed away at 7:38 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Zionsville Meadows. She was born in Grant County, Indiana, on Friday, September 29, 1939, to James and Marjorie (Key) Cravens.  

Myna was an office manager for many years with I&M Electric. In her younger years, she was a member of the bowling leagues at Plaza Bowl in Marion. She was known among the Grant County community as an artist. Myna painted senior chords for several students who graduated from Marion High School in 1957, participated in various public craft shows for decades, and taught folk art and crochet classes throughout Grant County. She coordinated monthly social events for the ladies of her high school class up until 2020.  

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Tippin; niece, Heather (Jerod) Hohenberger; great-nieces, Mercedes Hohenberger and Jordan (Brandon) Hohenberger-Potts; great-nephews, Patrick Hohenberger and Christian Hohenberger; and cousins, Mary Jane Tinkle and Jay Key. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. 

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Myna’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dan Van Cise officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
