Michael Ray Parker, 62, Marion, went to be with the Lord in his home at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was born in Marion on July 14, 1955, to Charles Lester and Catherine “Joan” (Drook) Parker.
Michael graduated from Marion High School and was a well-known referee and umpire with sports in all school districts. He was previously employed at General Plastics where he was a welding subcontractor. He loved the hobby of collecting baseball cards. Michael attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Johnson, Marion; son, Devin Cooper; brothers, Robert (Karen) Parker and Scott (Trish) Parker; and sister, Melanie (Stan) Harper.
Preceding him in death were his father, Charles Parker; sister, Kathy Parker; and step-father, Richard C. Johnson.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, with Michael’s funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Pastor Ronald Hon will be officiating with burial following at Falls Cemetery in Wabash.
