Michael E. Studebaker

Michael E. Studebaker, Sr., Swayzee, died at 3:02 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion on March 24, 1954, to the late Eugene L. and Louise “Mickey” (Schribner) Studebaker.
Michael was previously employed at J. Lewis Small. He was a Colts fan and a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating. One of his favorite things to do was supporting his son, Michael in motorcycle racing. He loved his family and his dog, Sassy and his favorite entertainment was watching his grandchildren play.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (Dave) Watson, Hartford City; sons, Michael (April) Studebaker, Jr., Swayzee and Chad (Angel) Studebaker, Maysville, Kentucky; grandchildren, James Watson, Brittany Watson, David Madley, Jr., Keyann Studebaker, Kason Studebaker, Amber Mason, Chad Studebaker, Jr., Cody Studebaker, Colten Studebaker; sisters, Tina (Ron) McPhearson and Brenda Cogburn; aunt, Donna (Terry) Boatwright; uncle, Robert (Carolyn) Studebaker; and lifelong friend, Danny Ice.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his uncle, Norman Lee Studebaker.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Serivce, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee. A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will begin at 12:30 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
