PERU,Indiana – Tuesday, May 17th is Make A Difference Day in Miami County. The United Way of Miami County is partnering with Streetscape and with the Miami County Chamber of Commerce for the event. It all begins at 8:30 all over the county Tuesday morning and Executive Director Debi Wallick talks about what Tuesday’s Goal is.
Elementary students at North Miami, Peru, and Maconaquah will do Chalk Art, and pictures and video of the students working will be shown on channel 18 at a later date. Blair Ridge, Millers Merry Manor and their respective nursing homes will plant flower seeds. The Boy Scouts will go to Grissom with vision of the future on chalk talk. “Envision the Future, Plant Hope for Tomorrow” is the motto. Events start at 8:30 Tuesday Morning at the Make A Difference Day.
