Mary “Rosalie” Maddox

Mary “Rosalie” Maddox, 94, Gas City, went to be with the Lord in her home at 4:38 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born in Frankfort on Friday, July 23, 1926, to Russell and Mabel (Becker) Fuller.

Rosalie attended Marion High School and graduated from Indiana Business College. She was a Records Clerk with Marion Police Department. Rosalie attended Liberty Baptist Church and was also a Sunday school teacher at Converse Wesleyan Church.

When she was six years old, Rosalie accepted Jesus into her heart and began a lifelong journey and relationship with the Lord. She was a godly, amazing mother, who loved her children and taught them about God. She faithfully prayed for her children up until her last days. Rosalie enjoyed crafting, was a good cook, and made a lot of her children’s clothes.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Earl) Sexton of Upland, Karen (Bill) Bruielly of Gas City, Trisha VanCamp of Kokomo, and Mary Ann (Ron) Tesdahl of Warsaw; sons, Michael (Myra) Farmer of Marion, David Alan (Susie) Farmer of Gas City, John “Kevin” (Julie) Farmer of Van Buren, Jeff Ray Maddox of Marion, and Glenn Keith (Michelle) Maddox of Marion; and many, many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Benson Hall Farmer, Jr.; sisters, Louise Howe and Mildred Peters; twin brothers, Gene and George Fuller; son-in-law, Francis VanCamp; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Liberty Baptist Church, 517 Church St., Sweetser, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Rosalie’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Terry Bishir will be officiating with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
