Mary Anne Hendershot, 85, Marion, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 20, 2021. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on December 17, 1936, to Arthur W. and Clara Lora (Childers) Morris.
Mary Anne married the love of her life on July 30, 1960. They shared 54 years together until his death on December 9, 2014. She was a devoted Christian woman and was involved in many Bible studies and prayer groups over the years. Her heart was Bible Study Fellowship, in which she was involved for 45 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 20 years and then Liberty Baptist Church for 13 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Hendershot and Kathryn (Blane) Hendershot Hurd; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Pierson Hendershot; and sister, Barbara Lee Morris Harrison.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Mary Anne’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Schramm officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Mt. Olivet Cemetery (Parkersburg, West Virginia).
