Mary A. Bott

Mary A. Bott, 77, Marion, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She was born in Hammond, Indiana, on January 22, 1945, to Everett and Mary Kathryn Obenchain.  In 1983, she married the love of her life, James Bott.   

She graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 1963. She worked at RCA and retired after 27 years of service. She loved taking care of her family. She made sure her family stayed together and loved having get-togethers. Family meant everything to her. She is now in the arms of her Savior. She read her Bible daily and loved the Lord. She prayed for her family every day. She was a lady who loved everyone unconditionally. She attended Twin City Baptist Church. She loved gardening, flowers, and planting trees.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James Bott; children, Marty (Kimerly) Allen, Lisa (Chuck) Chaffin, Greg (Lisa) Bott, David (Jennifer) Bott and Tony (Amanda Bott); grandchildren, Amber (Warren), Megan, Travis (Braleigh), Addison, Brad (Victoria), Emma (Easton), Adam, Jessica, Kierstin (Matt), Kirby (Chance), Levi, Tanner, Kendall, Alexis, , Jennifer (Wes), CJ, and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Fisher, Azelea, Rowen, Kellan, Elliot, Ramona, Elliot, Annabel, William, Oliver, Zoey, Tanner, Kendall, Finn, and Sawyer; siblings, Gloria Reis and Anna Margaret (Phillip) Dowell; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mona Clevenger, William Obenchain, and Kenneth Obenchain.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Mary’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
