Mark Vincent Bennett went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unexpectedly, on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Mark was born on Monday, January 15, 1962 in Marion, Indiana to Carmen Ledford and Darlie Bennett. As a child he grew up in the hills of West Virginia and Van Buren, Indiana. Then he moved to Texas with his brothers to work on the oil rigs. He would go on and on with many stories of the oil rigs with his brothers. Several years later he returned to his hometown in Indiana.
He loved to sing, dance, and listen to music. He always had a good joke to tell. He loved to be outside and always had a good fire going and good music.
Mark loved his family and loved his cats.
Mark is survived by his mother, Carmen Ledford; two daughters, Wendi Bennett and Crystal Bennett VanDiver (Devin VanDiver); six grandchildren, Taylor Evans, Aryes Riddle, Gerrick Evans, Keith Evans, Zoe’ Tucker, and Payden Riddle; his siblings, Connie (Duke) Taylor, Ronnie Bennett, Larry Petti, Doug (Laura) Bennett, Greg (Paula) Bennett, Cathy Petti, Karen DeLaPorte, Mike Bennett, Carol Chandler; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darlie Bennett; sister, Wilda Pozzie; sister-in-law, Theresa Petti; and step-father, Wayne Ledford.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January, 20, 2021 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
