Mark Thomas Deeter

Mark Thomas Deeter, 53, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died Friday, December 8, 2023, at his home.  He was born on January 19, 1970, in Wabash, to Max Curtis and Laureen Deanne (Snodgrasse) Deeter.

Mark was a 1988 graduate of Northfield High School and received his Bachelor Degree in Financial Planning from Purdue University. He married Alissa Peebles at the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ on December 23, 1995. After college, Mark worked in banking in Warsaw, sold insurance with Dave Mann, worked at the Manchester Farm Center, and was a real estate agent for Peebles Realty. Mark also co-owned, along with his father-in-law, Wabash Mortgage Company. He also worked at White’s Residential and Family Center, but currently worked at A&A Cleaning in Wabash. Mark was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. He coached 21 years in the Wabash Little League Program, and coached three winning teams to the Jr/Sr League state championship. He also coached his three sons on those championship teams. Mark trained with the National Pitching Association and was a certified hitting instructor. He also coached YMCA soccer and basketball teams. Above all, his family was everything to him. 

He is survived by his wife, Alissa Deeter of Wabash; three sons, Christian Deeter, Payton (Carly Hawkins) Deeter, and Ryan Deeter, all of Wabash; mother, Laureen Deeter of Wabash; and brother and sister, David (Heather Carroll) Deeter of Huntington, Indiana, and DeAnna (Marc-Elie) Dugue of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his father, Max Curtis Deeter.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Bachelor Creek Church of Christ,  2147 N State Road 15, Wabash, with Tyler Leland officiating. Burial will be in Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery, Somerset.  Friends may call 3-7 pm,  Monday, also at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are Bachelor Creek Church of Christ or Wabash Little League.
