Marilyn J. Garrison, 91, of Heritage Pointe in Huntington, Indiana, formerly of North Manchester and Elkhart, Indiana, died at 1:54 am, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1931, in North Manchester, Indiana, to Ovid and Margaret (Kaiser) Garrison.
Marilyn worked for General Telephone in Elkhart, Indiana retiring after 35 years. She was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church, and the Womens Better Business Bureau in Elkhart. Marilyn enjoyed antiquing, dancing, traveling, and journeyed to the Holy Lands. She lived in Elkhart most of her working adult years. Marilyn lived at Timbercrest Retirement Community several years before moving to Heritage Pointe in Huntington. Marilyn was a very generous person to everyone, especially to her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her twin sister, Carolyn Quinn of Huntington, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack Garrison and Max Garrison, and her sister, Joan Bohrer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 10, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Friends may call 10-11 am Monday, at the funeral home.
