Margaret Anne Keller, 96, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, Indiana, formerly of Plainfield, Indiana, died at 1:45 pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born January 31, 1920 in Center Township Hendricks County, Indiana to Oliver Arnold and Clara Ruth (Scott) Keller.

Margaret received her teaching certificate from Indiana State University and her Masters from Ball State University. She taught Music for more than 40 years in the Indianapolis Public School System. She was a member of the West Union Friends Church in Monrovia, Indiana, and the Hendricks County Ramblers, which is a musical group of retired musicians. She enjoyed music, playing the piano and violin, and played the violin in several orchestras in the Indianapolis area. She also gave private violin and piano lessons in her home. Her church was very important to her. She lived many years in Plainfield, before moving to Peabody Retirement Community in 2002.

She is survived by nieces and nephew, Tim (Patty) Cooper of Wabash, Indiana, Sue (Lee) Harman of Warsaw, Indiana, and Ruth “Toby” (Galen) Clark of Marion, Indiana, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jane Cooper.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Indiana with Joe Cassady officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorial is West Union Friends Church.
