Marcia L. Ayers, 62, Marion, passed away in her home at 10:02 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019. She was born in Nashville, TN, on May 15, 1956, to Jack and Shirley (Binnion) McCarter.
Marcia worked at RCA until its closure. She enjoyed spending time with her family, telling family stories, as well as watching Days of our Lives, Ellen, and Dr. Phil. She also loved smoking cigarettes and drinking Pepsi.
She is survived by her father, Jack McCarter; children: Wendi (Tyrone) Banks, Marion; James “Dusty” Ayers, Marion; and Rachel Ayers, Marion; step-children: Shawn Ayers, Marion; Elizabeth “Liz” Ayers, Marion; and Jeffery Ayers, Marion; grandchildren, Lorenzo Ayers, Nadia Ayers, Divine Ayers, Danika Ayers, Shyanna Banks, Tyrone Banks II, Tristan Ayers, Porgie, and Zanthony Howard; great-granddaughter, Kataleya Ayers; and special friends, Roxanne Kemp and Dannie Neal, both from Marion.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley McCarter, and daughter, Samantha Ayers.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 3 p.m. with Marcia’s funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
