NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Today is the second Average Daily Membership (ADM) or “count day” for schools across the state of Indiana. This day is important to Indiana public schools because it determines the level of state funding from January 2017 – June 2017 based upon the number of students in grades K-12. As of today, Manchester Community Schools (MCS) reported its ADM at 1601. This is an increase of 22 students since the fall count day.

Mr. Scott Bumgardner, Business Manager for Manchester Community Schools, states, “Very seldom do we
see an increase in the number of students from the fall ADM count day to the spring ADM count day. For an increase of 22 students from the beginning of the school year until now is a testament to our sta , students, parents, and our community. The extra money gained by the new students is approximately $60,000 and will be added to our General Fund.”

Dr. Bill Reichhart, Superintendent of Manchester Community Schools, commented, “We are very thankful that parents are recognizing that MCS provides an excellent education for their children and they are choosing MCS as their school of choice. Besides our excellent sta and facilities, Squire Academy, which o ers students a non-traditional method for learning, has been very successful with our students and has contributed to our enrollment growth and success. We continue to challenge ourselves to create the best learning environments for each and every MCS student in grades K-12. I would like to thank the MCS Board and our community for their continued support of Manchester Elementary School, Manchester Intermediate School, and Manchester Junior-Senior High School.”
