Mamie Marie Petty, 98, of Peru passed away at 5:57am on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor after an extended illness.
She was born on March 27, 1919 in Cass County to Fenton and Gertie (Bunnell) Culp, and was one of seventeen children. Mamie was a homemaker and was a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Olive Snyder of North Manchester, as well as several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and fifteen brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel from 12 noon – 2pm on Friday, December 8, 2017. Funeral service will follow at 2pm, with Pastor Bob Stuck officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
