Mamie Louise Fogleson, 93, Marion, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:52 am on Saturday, December 19, 2020, in her home. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee, on Sunday, September 25, 1927, to William and Della (Smith) Leonard. She was married to Donald Fogleson, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2002.
Mamie worked at SCM Allied Paper Co., where she was a machine operator for 23 years. She was a member of Grace Community Church, as well as Eastern Star of Upland. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors include her sons, David Fogleson of Marion and Ray Roark of Bristol, TN; grandson, Rodney Roark; granddaughter, Katie Fogleson; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and sisters, Averlee (Bill) Jones of Columbus, GA, and Pauline Satterfield of Indianapolis.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vester (Atre) Leonard; and sisters, Martha (John) Allen, Dorothy Vest, Ethel (Bill) Merritte, and Virginia (John) Cionowicz.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Mamie’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
