MACONAQUAH, Ind. – More than 30 Maconaquah High School students received invaluable advice on job-searching recently. The students attended a Youth Summit workshop during which they covered three main areas of job-searching, including how to build a resume, how to dress for an interview, and crafting an elevator speech. The workshop was a preview for this week’s Youth Summit event, which will also be held at Maconaquah High School on April 13. About 20 local employers will be at the event with job openings that are ideal for high school upperclassman and graduates, and students from surrounding high schools will also attend. This week’s Youth Summit takes place Thursday from 9 AM until 1:30 PM, and it will include a keynote speaker, employee panel, and several workshops and networking opportunities for students to meet local employers.
