Lynda Joyce Butcher

Lynda Joyce Butcher, 74, of rural Roann, Indiana, died at 2:58 am, Monday, July 27, 2020 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, Indiana. She was born on January 16, 1946 in Miami County, Indiana, to Claude and Opal (Burns) Hoffman.

Lynda was a 1964 graduate of North Miami High School. She married Ronnie D. Butcher at the Akron Church of God on May 23, 1964. She worked at Invensys and also worked 20 years at United Technologies, both in North Manchester. Lynda was a member of Olive Branch Church of God, where she was the Chair of the Card Ministry. She enjoyed flower arranging, and shopping on the Home Shopping Network.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie D. Butcher of rural Roann, IN, four children, Kimberly (Steve) Cooper and Kami Napier, both of Wabash, John (Michelle) Butcher of Denver, Indiana, and Tiffany (Larry) Smith of Urbana, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, Anniston Cooper and Carla (Tim) Dietrich, both of Wabash, Charlie Napier of Peru, Cayla Napier of Wabash, Jacqueline Butcher of Summerville, South Carolina, Bia Butcher and Eli Butcher, both of Denver, Ashley Staats of Andrews, Indiana, Kristina Staats of Urbana, Teagan (Braden) See of Lagro, Indiana, and Sheila Smith of Urbana, 11 great grandchildren, brother, Terry (Diana) Hoffman of Macy, Indiana, and Jennifer (Tom) Hoagland of Claypool, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters.

There will be a Celebration of Lynda’s Life at 10:30 am on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Randy Myers officiating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery, at a later date.
