Luella A. Bendixon, 73, of Marion, passed away at 12:13 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her home in Marion. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on October 18, 1947. On May 20, 1967, she married Ronald D. Bendixon, and he survives.
Luella graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1965 and attended Purdue University School of Nursing. She worked as a Professional Dog Trainer for several years at the Anderson Obedience Training Club and was a founding member of the Mississinewa Valley Obedience Club. Luella also owned her own dog obedience company in Greentown. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and landscaping. She was a dedicated homemaker and cared for her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Luella will be remembered as a strong, motivated, and passionate woman who will be missed dearly by all.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald D. Bendixon of Marion; son, Ron G. (Paul Zeis) Bendixon of Attica; daughter, Heather (Lonnie) Guith of Noblesville; grandsons, Tyler C. (Ashley) Guith, Tanner L. Guith, and Owen H. Guith; great-granddaughters, Dahlia and Sophie; great-grandson, Zane; brother, Randy Harris of Pierceton; brother-in-law, Harold “Butch” (Carolyn) Bendixon of Gas City; as well as countless friends and several dogs over the years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Kugler, and her loving dog, Wojo.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
The family will have a private service to celebrate Luella’s life. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating.
