Lois Jean Whitt, 66, passed away in Twin City Healthcare, Gas City on December 5, 2018. She was born on April 12, 1952 to the late Ralph Edward and Martha Frances (Smith) Goodwin.
On August 5, 1970 Lois married John W. Whitt and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1998. Momma Jean was a homemaker who showed her love for her family by cooking for them. She enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as collecting angels. She was an avid card and Bingo player and never missed a chance to go rummaging at yard sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa L. Cope, Elwood; brothers, James (Myrna) Goodwin, California; Richard Goodwin, Ohio; sister, Edna Smeed, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Wallace.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana with Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 5pm until the service begins on Monday.
