In observance of the National Day of Prayer, a prayer service will take place on the Wabash County Courthouse lawn between 12:10 and 12:50 pm on Thursday, May 5th. Shirley Neale, Founder of the Hesychia House, told MiBash News that around 80 people attended last year’s prayer service at the courthouse, and that number, she added, has gone up over the years. Following the prayer service, there will be a prayer walk for downtown businesses on Market and Canal Streets. Participating businesses need to have their prayer cards on their doors at 1 pm on Thursday. Neale told MiBash News that the prayer walk is not just for pastors – it’s for everyone to attend and pray for the concerns of each of the participating businesses. To that end, the public is invited to all the local events surrounding the National Day of Prayer.
