Linda Sue Blanton, 77, Claypool, passed away February 12, 2024, at The Waters of Wabash West in Wabash. The daughter of Jack and Edith (Dixon) Miller, Linda was born January 5, 1947, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Linda married Bob G. Blanton on August 24, 1963. They were blessed with two daughters, LaDonna and Wanda. Linda stayed home while the girls were growing up, helping to ensure they had everything they needed. She loved caring for others, especially her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She also shared in caring for her mother during her later years. Linda attended Victory Rock Church in Pierceton, Indiana. She enjoyed relaxing by gardening and found comfort and beauty in her flowers.
The loving memory of Linda Sue Blanton will be forever cherished by her daughters, LaDonna (Bernie) Ousley, Warsaw and Wanda Miller, Warsaw; grandchildren, Whitney Ousley and Morgan Rautenkranz; great-grandchildren, Diana and Lucas Rautenkranz; and sister, Connie (Chris) Gates, Warsaw. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Blanton; brothers, Dennis Miller and Gary Miller; and sister, Julia Bartley.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Trout officiating at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Claypool, Indiana, following services at the funeral home.
