Linda M. Wallace, 70, Marion, passed away at 7:40 am on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. She was born in Kokomo on Tuesday, August 22, 1950, to Lindell and Jane (Gross) Buroker. In 1976, she married Jerry L. Wallace, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Linda graduated from Marion High School in 1968 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University. She continued her education at Ball State University, graduating in 1976 with her Master’s in Education.
She worked with Wabash City and Marion Community Schools (Jones and Justice schools), retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was part of the “Friends Book Club”. She loved traveling to Florida, especially spending time on Panama City Beach. She also liked going to the casinos. More than anything, though, Linda loved her friends and family.
Survivors include her sister, Gayle Eaton of Marion; sons, Todd Wallace of Greenwood, Adam (Katie M.) Wallace of Marion, and Seth Wallace of Marion; and grandchildren, Holly, William, Hunter, Brady, Cayden, Luke, Mason, and Hadley.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Buroker.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Linda’s life will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1031 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN. Father Ted Rothrock will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
