Linda L. Dyson

Linda L. Dyson, 81, of rural Peru, Indiana, died at 12:55 am, Monday, September 6, 2021, at Aperion Care in Peru. She was born on November 29, 1939, in Logansport, Indiana, to James Harold and Betty Blanch (Wade) Roberson.

Linda attended Lucerne High School in Cass County, Indiana. She married Gene Cole Dyson in Lucerne on July 5, 1969. She worked as a seamstress for Hart Schaffner and Marx in Rochester, and also worked at Lances Market and Tate Farms, both of North Manchester. She lived several years in Servia. Linda enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, and she raised animals and had a zoo.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Cole Dyson of Peru, nine children, Doug Mappin of South Bend, Indiana, Teresa Peterson and Bryan (Dawn) Mappin, both of Rochester, Indiana, Mike (Lori) Mappin of Crestview, Florida, Laurie Ross of Logansport, Indiana, Jeff (Sheryl) Hedges of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gene Cole Dyson II of Russiaville, Indiana, Gene Anthony (Sharon) Dyson and Teri Ann Brock, both of Michigan, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two brothers, James Wade Roberson of Walton, Indiana, and Garry D. (Martina) Roberson of Mishawaka, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Memorial services will be 10:30 am Saturday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officating. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
