Lillian Roseanne Christ, 87 of Huntington passed away at 9:47 pm on Monday, August 7, 2017 at her residence. Roseanne was a 1947 graduate of Huntington High School. She went to LPN School in Marion and graduated from IPFW in Fort Wayne with her Registered Nurse license. She had worked as a nurse in several hospitals and offices. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and belonged to St. Peter Quilting Group. Roseanne enjoyed living on the lake at her two homes.
Roseanne was born on September 29, 1929 in Huntington, the daughter of Charles and Leah (Martin) Pohler.
She was united in marriage to Dick Christ on April 5, 1947 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. He survives.
Additional survivors include a son: Scott Christ of Huntington; a daughter: Sue Elzroth of Huntington; a sister: Gertrude Poiry of Pasadena, CA; five grandchildren: Ginger Christ of Texas; Scott Christ, Jr. of Warsaw; Olivia Christ of Etna Green, IN; Susan (John) Balasuer of Leesburg, VA; Deborah (Jesus) Luevanos of Elpaso, TX; four great grandchildren: Jon Thomas, Olivia Eagleson, Jaden Luevanos, Ethan Luevanos and five other great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Michael Elzroth and seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 am following visitation at the St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Interment will be at Lancaster Cemetery.
