Leon L. Good

Leon L. Good, age 84, of Bippus, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Monday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Chaplain Kurt Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Mr. Good was born on December 18, 1933 in Fulton County, the son of Charles Ray and Mary Elizabeth (Drudge) Good. He attended Akron High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska before Alaska became a U.S. state. He married Evelyn Carolyn Bitzel on August 31, 1963 in Huntington and worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne for 31 years followed by another 21 years at The Huntington County TAB. Leon was a member of the NRA and American Legion Post #85 and a past member of Izaak Walton League of Huntington. He enjoyed riding his 1950 Harley Davidson earlier in life and enjoyed drawing, painting, bird watching, and target practice. He served with several scout troops in Huntington. He loved to spend time with family.

Survivors include his wife of almost 55 years, Evelyn Good of Bippus, children Monica L. (Terry) Eckert and Rodney L. (Andrea) Good, both of Huntington, grandchildren Nicklaus Good, Alexandra (Jeremy) Plasterer, and Cassandra Good, step grandchildren David Eckert, Daniel Eckert, Cheyanne Lewis, and Josie Lewis, great grandchildren Zackory, Aria, Lyriel, and Jeddidiah, step great grandchildren Megan, Trista, Anikah, Claire, Danielle, and Victoria, and a great-great granddaughter, Hadley. Also surviving are a brother, Max (Peggy) Good of Mentone, a sister, Mary Lou (Jerry) White of Rochester, and a sister-in-law, Maggie Good of Silver Lake. His parents and a brother, Keith Good, preceded him in death.
