Larry W. Denton, 70, of Marion, passed away at 7:20 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Marion General Hospital due to health issues. He was born in Bellevue, Kentucky, on Thursday, September 7, 1950, to Bobbie and Betty (Henderson) Gulley.
Larry worked at Thompson (RCA) for 36 years. He loved to travel, work puzzles, and collect knives and watches.
Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Connie Denton of Marion; mother, Betty Gulley of Lagrange, KY; daughter, Neeley Maiga of Indianapolis; sons, John (Janet) Coleman of Richmond, VA, Michael (Lorna) Combs of Ft. Wayne; many grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Bill (Atha) Denton of FL, Keith Gulley of KY; sisters, Mondale Denton and Tonya Denton of FL, Sonya Gullet of Wabash, and Evon Buzzard of Ft. Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Denton; son John W. Denton; daughter, Tammy Denton; brothers, Bobby Denton, Jr., Scott Gulley; and sister, Regina Denton.
At Larry’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
