Larry “Steve” Aguilar, 74, of Fishers, passed away at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, July 7, 1948, to Luis and Mary (Alter) Aguilar. On January 24th, 1969, he married Judith Sparks, and she survives.
Steve was a graduate from Marion High School.
He was an Arby’s franchisee owner for well over 20 years. He loved meeting new people and being involved in the community. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and Meshingomesia Country Club, and Elks Lodge #195. Steve had a passion for food. Cooking it, eating it… he just loved being in the kitchen or manning his numerous grills. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and watching his grandkids play sports. Above all else, family and faith were central to his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Aguilar of Fishers; sons, Steve (Jessica) Aguilar and Jeremy (Jesse) Aguilar; grandsons, Garrett and Isaac; granddaughters, Isabel, Sophia, Ava, Lila, Eleanor, Anna, and Giuliana; brothers, Frank (Mary) Aguilar, Bill (Vicki) Aguilar, and Rick (Leigh) Aguilar, and a sister, Anita (Larry) McCrea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Mary Aguilar; and two brothers, Tom (Sally) Aguilar and Jim Aguilar.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 7, 2022 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1009 W. Kem Road, Marion, IN.
