Larry Lee Black

Larry Lee Black, 57, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 5:22 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, at Majestic Care of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 13, 1966, to Janet (Woodward) Black in Wabash, Indiana.
Larry left a huge hole in the heart of his family and friends who were always entertained by his “long winded” stories and his sense of humor. Larry never met a stranger and was never short on words, as all who knew him knew. His beautiful eyes and big friendly smile lit up every room he ever entered. He worked for many years at Wabash Cannonball Lanes in maintenance.
Larry is survived by his life partner of 37 years, Alison Spenser of Wabash, Indiana; one son, Steven Bernon Black of Wabash, Indiana; his mother, Janet (Woodward) Black of Wabash, Indiana; one sister, Angie (Craig) Peyton of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Scott (Luchita) Black of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews, Phillip (Kristen), Kalie (Jono), Kyle, Patrick, Shayna; great nieces and nephews, Jackson, Audrey, and Hayes Alexander; one uncle, Phillip Woodward of Wabash, Indiana. Larry is at peace joining his grandparents, Bernon “Woody” Woodward and Alberta Woodward, who he deeply loved and has missed every day since their passing.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Roxane Mann officiating. Burial will take place at Falls Cemetery in Wabash.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the funeral home.
