Larry E. Plummer

Larry E. Plummer, age 78, of Marion passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Larry Eugene Plummer was born to Eugene H. and Betty L. (Jeffries) Plummer on October 19, 1940 in Marion Indiana.  He graduated from Marion High School in 1958.   He proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.  After leaving the Army, he was employed at Foster Forbes for many years.  Larry was a member of the Deer Creek Conservation Club, the Van Buren American Legion and the N.R.A.   He was also a life member of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans).

He married Trudy A. Perdue on September 12, 1970. She preceded him in death on February 13, 2015.  Together they had one son, Christopher (Laura) Plummer and two grandsons, Aaron and Jonah.  He is also survived by his brother, James Plummer; sister-in-law, Sherry Eberst; and several nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by his special friends Jeff, Anna, Dan, Kellie, Larry, Dave and Linda (the dinner gang that he enjoyed so much!)  He also will be missed by his three precious cats, Mandy, Zelda and Sambo.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia J. (Plummer) Turner and Sue Anne (Plummer) Grose.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Jahn officiating.

Burial with military honors will be held immediately following the funeral service at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
