Larry D. Farmer

Larry D. Farmer, 71, Laketon, IN passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. One of six children, Larry was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on July 21, 1947 to William and Laura Marie (Burchett) Farmer. Larry married Bonnie S. Bolding on December 31, 1974; she survives.

He graduated from Akron High School.  He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and mushroom hunter. He also enjoyed cutting wood and gardening. He loved spending time with family and friends. He dearly loved his wife and Rags his dog. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.  He was a member of the Laketon American Legion Post 402. Larry was a member of the Laketon Wesleyan, Laketon, IN.

Larry will be remembered by his wife, Bonnie Farmer, Laketon, IN; four daughters Jennifer (Scott) Asher, Huntington, IN, Shannondoah Michelle Tidwell, TN, Shawn Marie Burks, Jackson, TN, Carrie Farmer, IN; two brothers Jerry Randall Farmer, Silver Lake, IN and James Edward (Aimee) Farmer, Warsaw, IN; two sisters Golda Sue (James) Clark, Liberty Mills, IN; and Lois Ann Warren, North Manchester, IN., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Crystal Gail Farmer and one brother, Paul Douglas Farmer.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Pastor David Cox will officiate and a graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953.

A love offering may be made to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN 46962 to assist the family with final expenses.
