WABASH,Indiana – The Honeywell Center announced on Thursday that Kool & The Gang will be coming to the Ford Theater on Thursday, August 4th. The event marks the first time the Grammy-winning band has performed at the Honeywell Center. Kool & The Gang is, of course, known for classic 70s and 80s dance hits like “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,” Cherish,” “Ladies Night” and “Get Down On It.” The band has performed continuously for over 45 years all over the world and has sold 70 million albums worldwide since their first release in 1969.
Tickets for the Honeywell Center show go on sale on Friday, March 11th starting at 8 am. Hayley Beauchamp, Communications Manager for the Honeywell Foundation, told MiBash News that she expects the tickets will sell quickly. When asked how the facility books bands in the first place, Beauchamp said that they try to look for artists and bands that are a great fit for Wabash. And, she said, Kool & The Gang is a great fit for the community and the Honeywell Center.
