Kathy Lynn Smith, 70, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 1:23 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on February 10, 1952, in Wabash, to Jack Thomas Sr. and Darma Ruth (Jones) Smtih.
Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Southwood High School. She worked as a qualified medical assistant. Kathy was a member of Treaty Church of Christ and enjoyed reading and working puzzle books.
She is survived by sisters and brother, Debbie (James) Bartoo of Urbana, Indiana, Jackie (Richard) Gardner and Jill (William) Schmalzried, both of Wabash, Holly Rose of North Manchester, Indiana, Jack T. (Cathy) Smith, Jr. and Darma M. Smith, both of Wabash, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, David Wayne Smith.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Monday, March 14, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash with Ryan Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30 – 10: 30 am Monday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Treaty Church of Christ Youth Group.
