Kathy A. Keppel, 80, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away at 6:56 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born to Max E. and Evelyn Maxine (Whitehead) Ringenberg on June 10, 1943, in Goshen, Indiana.
Kathy was a graduate of Nappanee High School. After high school she went to work at The School for the Deaf in Indianapolis and was a Dorm Mother. Kathy married Charlie Keppel. He passed away in 2016. Kathy was a fun and happy lady that loved arts and crafts, and also enjoyed her girlfriends and family.
Kathy is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Scott) McCollister of Wabash, Indiana; four grandchildren, Haylie Faust, Peyton Ogan, Lilly McCollister, Brett McCollister; two great-grandchildren, Beau McCollister and Bennett McCollister; two brothers, Steve (Jami) Ringenberg of Gerton, North Carolina, Leon (Sandy) Ringenberg of Elkhart, Indiana; one sister, Ginger Ringenberg of Elkhart, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Per Kathy’s wishes there will be no services.
Preferred memorials are to be directed to Guardian Angel Hospice in care of McDonald Funeral Homes.
