Karen (Alexander) Bartel, age 79, of Marion, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Marion, Indiana.
Karen was born December 6, 1943 in Roll, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gail (Ferguson) Alexander. She married Richard Bartel on June 23, 1967, and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2021.
Karen was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and having her family over for dinner. She was also known as the “Neighborhood Mom”.
She is survived by sons, Troy (Camille) Bartel of Ft. Wayne, Jeff (Melissa) Bartel of Marion and Kent (Jessica) Bartel of Marion; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at Noon with Pastor Shawn Davis officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
