Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Avenue, Huntington, with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County with military graveside rites performed by VFW Post #2689 of Huntington.

Joe was born on January 12, 1931 in Henry County, Indiana, the son of Rev. Basil R. and Nellie (Williams) Holloway. He graduated from Huntington High School and served in the United States Navy. He married Marjorie H. Evans on May 29, 1949 in Huntington. He worked in printing at Huntington News and spent five years working for Majestic Corporation in Huntington. Joe worked in assembly in the tool and die industry for Drerup Machine Shop, General Electric for 18 years, and Global Tool and Automation for 12 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of College Park United Brethren Church in Huntington and was an avid bowler with the Seniors of Huntington. He and his wife loved traveling and camping.
Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years, Marjorie H. Holloway of Huntington, daughters Marilyn K. Ratliff of Huntington and Patricia A. (Thomas) Waldfogel and Trudy Jo Guthrie, both of Fort Wayne, a son, Gary Lynn (Teresa) Holloway of Fort Wayne, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Frances Bangs, and brothers Garland Holloway, Harold Holloway, Raymond Holloway, Donald Holloway, and Melvin Holloway.
