John L. Elliott, age 75, of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion.
John was born on October 9, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Dee and Jeanie (Chambers) Elliott. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked in production at the RCA plant in Marion later named Thompson Consumer Electronics where he retired from.
John was a very generous man. He enjoyed going to car shows and loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
He is survived by his partner, Donna K. Spath of Marion; three sons, Justin Elliott of Tennessee, Sean Recometa of Marion, and Scot Recometa of Oregon; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Elliott.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Visitation will also be held from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in the funeral home prior to the funeral. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Phil Rogers officiating.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in the Van Buren Cemetery, Van Buren, Indiana.
