John Frank Burke, 63, of Urbana, Indiana, died at 8:12 am, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his home. He was born November 2, 1956 in Wabash County, Indiana, to Dale Devon and Catherine (Warren) Burke.
John married Cindy Jo Eakright in North Manchester, Indiana on May 1, 1981. He was the head custodian at Southwood High School more than 30 years. John was a member of Faith Harvest Fellowship in Wabash. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed dirt track racing, going to auctions, riding go karts, fishing, watching and going to live wrestling events, and especially spending time with his family and co-workers.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Jo Burke of Urbana, three children, Penny Lynn Burke of Wabash, Hazel Burke of Warsaw, and Adam J. Burke of Urbana, six grandchildren, Kyle Manter of Fort Wayne, Xavier Naseman of Ohio, Noah Glenn of Wabash, Teonna Hamilton, Zachary Burke, and Alexander Hamilton of Warsaw, sisters and brother, Nancy (Robert) Krudop of Fort Wayne, James (Janet) Burke of Warsaw, and Martha (Jared) Johnson of Liberty Mills, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Buddy Burke, and sister, Betty Burke.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, October 16, 2020, at Faith Harvest Fellowship, 1717 N. Wabash Street, Wabash, with Pastor Bruce Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Thursday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
