Joan R. Hodge, age 95, passed away March 22, 2024, at Aperion Care, Marion, Indiana. She was born July 13, 1928, in Jalapa, Indiana. The daughter of the late Lester and Faye (Luger) Fite.
She graduated from Marion High School and retired from Elder Beerman after 40 years in retail. Joan loved her work. She also liked traveling with the Senior Center, bowling, and walking along the river walk.
Joan is survived by grandchildren Molly and Tyler Hodge, her daughter-in-law Mickey Hodge, several nieces and nephews, and dear friends Mona and Janice.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sons, John and Joe Hodge; her sister, Bonna Bachman; three brothers, Don, Jim and Bob Fite and dear friends Yolanda and Becky.
It was Joan’s wish there be no services. Burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home.
