Joan Fox, 96 years young and former long-time resident of Swayzee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Joan was born in Swayzee on December 3, 1924, to the late Waldo and Ethel (Figgins) Kilgore. On June 20, 1942, she married her loving husband, Curtis L. Fox, and they were happily married for 69 years until his passing on November 14, 2011.
Joan was employed for many years as a clerk at Kilgore Supermarket in Swayzee, which was owned by her brother, Gene Kilgore. She was a member of Marion Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Janet Fox of Marion; son, Dan (Patricia) Fox of Norman, OK; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Steven C. Fox, and brothers, Gene and Max Kilgore.
A graveside service for Joan will take place at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Thrailkill Cemetery in Swayzee, IN. Chaplain Ginny Soultz will be officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN.
